BOOKING ERROR
Please note that the responsibility for correct dates, number of guests, room type, and any errors made during the booking process lies with the booker. We cannot make exceptions to our cancellation policies and fees.

CASH
We accept cash payments; however, we cannot accept €200 and €500 notes.
COOKING & FIRE
Cooking in guest rooms is strictly forbidden by the Health Authorities. No candles or open flames are permitted in rooms or public areas. Should the fire alarm be activated, the cost of emergency services attending will be charged to the guest.
COMPANY DETAILS
Any company details for invoices must be submitted in writing before the check-out date. No modifications (guest names, company details, etc.) can be made to the invoice after check-out.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION & DEPOSIT
The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize credit cards prior to arrival. The hotel reserves the right to request a deposit of €150 upon check-in.
DAMAGES & EXTRA CLEANING FEE
We expect our guests to treat our property and belongings with the utmost respect. When damages are caused by severe neglect by the guest, all costs will be charged to the responsible booker. This includes repairs at cost, plus a daily room rate equal to the applicable daily rate for the room until the room has been returned to its saleable condition.
Hotel Aalders upholds high hygiene standards for its guests. For excessively dirty rooms, an additional cleaning fee of €150 will be charged to the guest.
For room degradation (such as bodily fluids), a €250 cleaning fee will be charged, plus any professional external cleaning charges at cost, plus a daily room rate equal to the applicable daily rate until the room has been returned to its saleable condition.
DISTURBANCE
In cases of excessive disturbance (loud noise, damages, improper behavior), the hotel reserves the right to immediately terminate your reservation without refund of the reservation or deposit.
GROUPS
Different policies apply to group reservations. A group reservation consists of 4 or more rooms. When booking a group reservation, the total amount will be charged to the booker’s credit card within 3 days after the hotel receives the booking. Payment for the group reservation then becomes non-refundable.
FORCE MAJEURE
Hotel Aalders does not accept liability and offers no compensation when unable to provide contracted services due to circumstances beyond our control: (natural) disasters, fire, war or terrorism, strikes, riots, cancellation of flight/train/bus/boat, pandemics, government regulations, labour disputes, unfavorable weather conditions, or other exceptional and catastrophic events or emergencies that make it impossible to stay at our hotel.
HOUSEKEEPING
Our housekeeping team cleans all rooms daily. If you prefer no service, no problem. However, to maintain our hygiene standards, our team must service and clean the room at least every other day during your stay.
Re-using towels saves water and reduces detergent use. • Re-use your towel: hang it on the rack. • Replace your towel: leave it on the floor.
These hygiene standards and environmental responsibilities are part of our efforts to offer the best service while contributing to a better planet.
LIABILITY
Hotel Aalders is not liable for damages, loss, or theft of goods and therefore cannot be obligated to pay compensation in this context. The above restrictions are forfeited when the result is due to willful misconduct or deliberate recklessness/neglect by Hotel Aalders or its team. Compensation for damages caused by neglect will not exceed the total price paid by the guest for the services offered by Hotel Aalders. Under no circumstances will Hotel Aalders’ total liability for direct damages exceed €250.
LOST & FOUND
All lost & found items are registered by our team, and a notification will be sent to the guest regarding the found item(s). If we do not receive a response within 3 months, the item(s) will be donated to charity.
MISSED CHECK-OUT
Check-out time is 11:00. If the guest is not present after 11:00 and belongings remain in the room, a management-level team member will pack the belongings so housekeeping can prepare the room for arriving guests. The luggage/belongings will be stored in a safe area and can be collected at the front office. A €100 packing fee will be invoiced and must be paid upon pickup.
MONUMENTAL BUILDING
We are located on a quiet residential street in the heart of the Museum District. Please note: our hotel is situated in a monumental building from 1902 and is not as isolated or soundproof as modern buildings.
Due to the building’s historic, former-residential character, our hotel has unique nooks and features. This may include elevated bathrooms, raised step(s), and narrow corridors. All rooms are unique in size and layout.
PAYMENTS
• Flexible Rate: payment at arrival.
• Non-Refundable Rate: your credit card will be charged after booking. All reserved rooms are paid in one payment.
PETS
Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

Reservations can only be made through our website, where you will find all prices and availability.
Our website provides a safe and secure environment for making your reservation with personal details.
We are unable to make reservations via email or phone.
ROOM KEY
When leaving the hotel, please leave your room key at the front office at all times (for security and fire-safety reasons).
Lost or stolen keys incur a €150 replacement fee. We will attempt to contact the guest, who will have 7 days to return the key. Failure to do so will result in the fee being charged.
ROOM CAPACITY & MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS
Guests may not exceed the declared number of persons on the reservation unless hotel staff has given consent. Under no circumstances may the number of occupants exceed the maximum for the room type. Maximums (including children):
• Small Single Room — max. 1 person*
• Deluxe Small Single Room — max. 1 person*
• Small Double Room — max. 2 persons*
• Deluxe Small Double Room — max. 2 persons*
• Comfort Double Room — max. 2 persons*
• Deluxe Comfort Double Room — max. 2 persons*
• Triple Room — max. 3 persons*
• Family Room — max. 4 persons*
If you arrive with more persons than the maximum for the reserved room type, access is limited to the maximum for that room type. An additional room must be booked for the extra person(s).
A baby cot is possible in the following rooms: Comfort Double Room, Deluxe Comfort Double Room, Triple Room, and Family Room (maximum one baby cot per room). It is not possible to place a baby cot in the (Deluxe) Small Single Room or (Deluxe) Small Double Room; however, children up to 2 years can sleep in the existing beds for free (maximum one child 0–2 per room).

An extra bed is only possible in Family Rooms (maximum one per room). Please contact us prior to arrival for availability and to reserve an extra bed.
In all cases, the applicable cancellation policy remains in effect.
SMOKING POLICY
Hotel Aalders is a non-smoking hotel and maintains a zero-tolerance policy for smoking, narcotics, and drugs. This policy applies to all rooms, balconies, and public areas. If smoking occurs in the room or if drugs/narcotics are found in the room or public areas, the hotel reserves the right to issue a fine of €150 plus costs for any damages. The hotel also reserves the right to immediately terminate your reservation without refund of the reservation or deposit, and legal action may be taken.
